Faux China Chunks are a cost effective alternative to broken china for use in pique assiette or shard mosaics . China Chunks are made from ceramic tiles which makes them uniform in thickness and so easy to use! The faux China Chunks are fabricated using the same quality materials found with fine english china. However, they are fired onto the surface of a ceramic tile instead of a plate. There are many advantages to working with ceramic tiles instead of plates:

-Uniform thickness
-Easier to cut than china
-Same quality patterns
-Can be used for many projects

These are sold by the single tile, and can be used whole for architectural installation, including walls, backsplashes and countertops.
Note: China Chunks patterned tiles are not rated for floor use.

If you prefer broken shards to whole tiles, you can easily cut them into smaller pieces with a mosaic tile nipper.

There are now 40 patterns available to offer you even more variety. Those of you who have already become fans of the China Chunks line will notice that we have lowered our prices to make them even more affordable.

These tiles are 1/4 inch thick and measure 6" x 6". The new China Chunks tile line is 1/16th thicker than the old tiles. This makes them more suitable for installation projects.
